Arif Ansari,

an artist based in Karachi, obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2000. With a rich history of participating in both international and national group exhibitions, I have also showcased my work in a solo exhibition held in Karachi.

My artistic journey predominantly revolves around creating landscapes using acrylic and watercolor mediums. I draw my inspiration from the subtle interplay of light and intimate scenes, rather than seeking grandiose vistas. Painting en plein air allows me to immerse myself in the environment, capturing its intricate beauty.

Interestingly, my creative process doesn't end with the completion of a painting; instead, it evolves over time. Months, even years later, I find myself revisiting past works as new ideas emerge and mature. This reflective distance allows me to delve deeper into the essence of my initial inspiration, transforming it into a more abstract and poetic expression.

Ultimately, my aim is to transcend mere representation and evoke emotive responses through my artwork, inviting viewers to embark on their own interpretative journeys.
