Momin Khan,
Momin Khan, a self-taught artist hailing from Karachi, finds his artistic expression in the powerful imagery of horses, particularly in his Buzkashi series, and abstract representations of faces. Through his Bushkasi paintings, Khan endeavors to honestly depict the resilience and determination of these warriors and their trusted companions. In his portrayal of women's faces, often accompanied by pigeons, Khan effortlessly captures a sense of serenity amidst the chaos of life. Having attended the Central Institute of Arts and graduating in 1978, Khan brings a depth of understanding to his work, expressing the true emotions of those entrenched in the battles of life, including both humans and their faithful steeds. Through his art, Khan invites viewers to contemplate the intertwined destinies of humanity and the animal kingdom, offering insights into the shared experiences of survival and perseverance.
