Farrukh Shahab,

Farrukh Shahab, initially drawn to portraiture, garnered recognition early in his career with awards like the Gold Medal at the Sindh Artist’s Exhibition in 1990 and top honors at the Quaid-i-Azam Portrait Exhibition in 1995. His artistic journey led him to Paris, London, and ultimately the Art Students League in New York, where his work was showcased at the prestigious Montague Gallery in Soho. Upon returning to Karachi, Shahab diversified his portfolio, creating portraits, landscapes, and Romantic-style paintings for distinguished homes. His art adorns esteemed institutions like the World Bank Washington and the Karachi Governor’s House. Exhibitions in New Delhi sparked a transformation in his style, infusing Abstract linear elements with Cubist influences. With extensive experience in solo and group shows across Karachi, Lahore, New Delhi, Hong Kong, and London, Shahab continues to evolve, focusing on his mature development as an artist.
