Khusro Subzwari,

Khusro Subzwari is a self-taught artist who has had a passion for art since his childhood. He completed his civil engineering degree from Ned University in 1981. Even while pursuing his engineering studies, he actively participated in art-related programs, and his oil painting work was awarded 2nd prize by 'Gulgee' in 1978. After working in Saudi Arabia for a year, Khusro went to the USA to complete his master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1984. His background in engineering proved to be an asset in developing his understanding of form, composition, balance, texture, and creating three-dimensional effects in his paintings. Khusro works in various styles and themes, ranging from landscapes and cityscapes to abstractions. Following a spiritual awakening during his visit to Turkey, Sufism has now become one of his main themes.
